Camper Conversion

Most of the work on a self build camper can be done by anyone with general diy skills. It all takes a lot longer than you anticipate - about 11 months for me, more or less fulltime. Worth it though. Apart from the satisfaction of actually building it, I've ended up with a van that suits my needs, is better equipped than "off the shelf", and considerably cheaper. I wanted a modern looking van; more small apartment than a caravan.

The Trailer

This is a record on how I converted a luggage trailer into a camping / boat trailer. The boat is stored (deflated) below the roof racks and canvas.

This video shows how I set up the rooftop tent.

This video shows how I remove my Sea Hawk II inflatable boat from the trailer.
